Optek Music Systems, Inc. introduces the new FG-400 series Fretlight® guitar interactive learning instrument.

Windham, NH—August 23, 2004 (PR)—Optek® Music Systems, Inc., a music education company which developed the Fretlight guitar, announced today the introduction of the new FG-400 series electric guitar. The revolutionary guitar has a patented system that shows a player exactly where to place their fingers by utilizing an embedded light system contained within an advanced polymer fingerboard. The Fretlight guitar allows a beginner through advanced guitarist to learn and play their favorite types of music with an interactive computer software program.

The classic rock and roll styled electric guitar is linked directly to a users personal computer system. The Guitar Power® software (included with the guitar) drives a series of 132 LED lights in the Fretlight guitars fretboard to illuminate specific notes and chords for songs. This allows users to learn and play a variety of rhythm and lead guitar for mastering classical, blues, rock, country and heavy metal music. The interactive learning software gives a player the ability to create or learn guitar music at the pace they choose. The Fretlight interactive system is designed to help players at every level including professional musicians such as Neal Schon of the rock band Journey, Gerry Beckley of America and Charlie Crowe of Brooks & Dunn who all own Fretlight guitars.

The company has planned a limited production of the new FG-400 series electric guitar available for delivery to its customers by December 2004. The Fretlight guitar currently retails for $599.00 and is sold through the companys web site at www.optekmusic.com.
