Air Filtration Systems of Las Vegas Introduces Purafil's New Odorcarb II Media

Purafil, the leading manufacturer of air filtration systems for removal of odors and gaseous pollutants, introduces a new, dry-scrubbing media that has a hydrogen sulfide removal capacity of 35 percent by weight (100 lbs of Odorcarb II media will remove 35 lbs of hydrogen sulfide gas).

LAS VEGAS, NV (PRWEB) August 24, 2004 -- Purafil, the leading manufacturer of air filtration systems for removal of odors and gaseous pollutants, introduces a new, dry-scrubbing media that has a hydrogen sulfide removal capacity of 35 percent by weight (100 lbs of Odorcarb II media will remove 35 lbs of hydrogen sulfide gas). Odorcarb II is an enhanced version of Purafil's original activated alumina-based Odorcarb, and lasts approximately 75 percent longer than the previous formula. Odorcarb II will still offer customers a UL classified, landfill-acceptable media.

The increased capacity of Odorcarb II allows for more cost-efficient systems with higher airflow designs: The Purafil Tub Scrubber designed for airflow's from 1,000 to 6,000 cfm, the Deep Bed Scrubber designed for airflow's from 1,000 to 8,000 and the Vessel Scrubber designed for airflow's from 8,000 to 20,000 cfm.

Odorcarb II is used for a variety of applications within the Environmental Systems Division (ESD) of Purafil and is the primary media in Purafil's ESD odor control systems. Odorcarb II is ideal for use in wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, wet wells, lift stations and sludge holding tanks.
