DALLAS, TX (PRWEB) August 23, 2004 -- Baylor Health Care System will introduce Galvanons self-service MediKiosks in September to streamline the patient check-in process, reduce administrative costs and enhance the total patient experience as part of its system wide clinical transformation initiatives. The Kiosks are located at Sammons Cancer and Breast Imaging Center at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Galvanons MediKiosks will make seeing the doctor less cumbersome for patients," says Bob Pickton, senior vice president and chief information officer at Baylor. Our goal is to continually find technology solutions for our patients that will improve processes and increase customer satisfaction."
Baylor is currently using Galvanons CVM (Customer Value Management) Solutions to help with online bill paying. The CVM solutions extend the use of existing patient information in the hospital to enhance the level of service Baylor can provide for its patients and physicians.
The self-service healthcare kiosk Solutions will expedite the check-in process for patients who simply have to swipe a drivers license, credit card or membership card at the kiosk for identification. It also alleviates all manual data and the repetitiveness of filling out forms each time. Once checked-in, the kiosks allow patients to verify appointments, sign consent forms and even pay their co-pay.
Baylors thoughtful leadership and dedication in creating the ideal patient experience is second to none," says Raj Toleti, Galvanons chairman and chief technology officer. Our products are a vital link between a hospitals quality care initiatives and the ideal patient experience."
According to Randy Fusco, corporate director of Baylors e-Strategies group, conducting pilots like these allow Baylor to quickly determine the potential value to customers.
