Baltimore/D.C. Area Filmmaker, Robert G. Christie, will begin production on his 3rd film.
Robert G. Christie's first 2 films ("No Longer My Twin" and "Shallow Deep") screened at the N.Y. International Film Festival in 2002/2003; he will start shooting "The Sobbing Stone" in Oct., 2004.
(PRWEB) September 4, 2004 -- "The Sobbing Stone", a spooky supernatural thriller from the play of the same name, will go into production in October, with Robert G. Christie directing and producing. Johnny Alonso ("O.C.", "Dawson's Creek", "Growing Pains Reunion II", Val Kilmer's "Stateside", "Homicide") will co-star, along with John Doyle ("Serial Mom"). The original play was written by Dick Charlton, adapted for the screen by Bob Christie, the story centers around a small but mysterious stone that emits sounds from it, not unlike a tape recorder or CD. The stone seems to be trying to tell a story, and although the sounds are emitted randomly, the dominant of these is the "sobbing"...the tragic, dreadful crying from a man in extremes of misery and distress. But what could this possibly mean?
A clever story with a clever premise, this film is already getting the attention of various big league distributors, and is pegged for release in January, 2005. Andrew Wiley is pegged for Director of Photography, while the search is still on for Executive Producers and co-producers. The producing company is RCFeatures/Garcia Films, Columbia, Md., (410)309-1231.
