AnandTech Compares Meedio Essentials to SnapStream Media's Beyond TV and Frey Technology's SageTV - Concludes "We Think Meedio is the Better Choice of the Three"
Popular online computing resource AnandTech recently concluded part two of their in-depth review of media center software Meedio Essentials. In writer Andrew Ku's final words he states that, "We may have a clear HTPC (Home Theater PC) winner" citing the software's strong developer community and competitive pricing.

To date nearly 80 "plug-in" applications have been developed for the Meedio platform. Part two of AnandTech's review focused on these third-party plugins. "Unlike SageTV 2.0's plug-in ability, one of Meedio Essentials' selling points is precisely the variety of plug-ins available," writes Ku. "The fact that this software title is much more community-driven than either BTV (BeyondTV) and STV (SageTV) works better for the plug-in selling point."
