Begun in 1994, A2B has focused on turnkey tracking solutions. A2B provides total solutions, including software and hardware, to customers tracking needs. As one of the first companies to develop software for graphically-based mobile computers, their earliest products were developed on the Apple Newton®. This work drew the attention of United Parcel Service (UPS) who contracted with A2B to complete development of UPS Trackpad®. When the Newton was pulled from the market, A2Bs development quickly shifted to the Microsoft Windows® CE platform, with products that utilize mobile computing, bar code printing and scanning and wireless downloads.

With 5000 customers around the world, A2B also specializes in product support, including sole technical support for UPS Trackpad users.

The companys most recent initiative is development of software to support the Unique Identification initiative (UID) of the federal government. Contractors to the DoD are going to be under tremendous pressure to comply with complex new standards," says Collins. If they dont comply, they cant do business with the government.
