Presidential has its furniture manufactured in Zimbabwe by Wilson International, which was established in 1958 and employs 850 people. The wood is harvested from the company’s own forestry concessions in Africa. Only trees of a certain size can be cut; the smaller ones are left to grow. Using the African wood makes Presidential Billiards unique because the wood can only be shipped out of the country as a manufactured product, not as lumber. Presidential/Wilson cuts the teak, kiln dries it to their own requirements, manufactures the tables and distributes them to the retailer, with no middle-men and minimum of suppliers.
