'Mail Order Ministry Celebrates its 45th Year

Universal Life Church celebrates its 45th year, still battling for legitimacy. ULC Seminary provides training for ministers of all faiths.

(PRWEB) September 26, 2004 -- For 45 years, the Universal Life church has been ordaining anyone who asks, for free and for life. From its origins of mail order to the explosion of internet ordination, the ULC has ordained over 20 million ministers worldwide. Its free and its legal -- and its critics consider it nothing short of a joke. Some people do get ordained as a joke (trying to ordain their dog, for instance), others get ordained to perform a wedding for a friend or family member, while many others consider it a calling from God. ULC ministers do have one thing in common though: People think that 'internet ministers are not REAL ministers.

The ULC Seminary hopes to change that dated perception. WWW.ulcseminary.org has opened its internet doors to all ministers worldwide. The key to competence and confidence is training." Says founder Rev. Amy Long. Ordination is a necessary legal step, but its just the first step." The Seminary allows ministers to add weight to their titles and certainty to their status.

The Seminary is also an excellent source for non-denominational and inter-denominational ceremony materials, certificates and, of course, free ordination.

With an ever-increasing curriculum, many opportunities for involvement, and a warm community of fellow ministers, the Seminary is the ultimate training ground for ministers of all faiths.

For more information about the Seminary, contact Rev. Amy Long. Shes the author of two successful ceremony books, two new seminary courses and has over 500 weddings and funerals under her belt. (916) 690-1682 or amy@ulcseminary.org.
