Bid-Alot Online Auction Places Bidders and Sellers First in the Fight Against Fraud

County Durham based Bid-Alot.com releases a new online auction site putting the safety and security of the users first, by using latest technology and the systems employed by well known online payment tool, Paypal.

(PRWEB) September 30, 2004 -- Many internet users have fallen victim to fraud and scammers using popular online auctions. Bid-Alot introduces new measures to combat fraudulent bidders and sellers. Before users can take part in the auction site, accounts are verified and approved by having a one off $1 verification charge made payable only through the new users active Paypal account.

Once the verification charge has been paid, users can bid on and sell items on the auction. Further security measures are taken once an auction has ended with a successful sale. The seller is required to pay the commission fees via Paypal, which then allows the system to release contact information to, and about, both the buyer and seller.

Bid-Alot Team member Sharon says "Initially we wondered whether we would lose or gain customers by introducing the Paypal only verification process. Since the launch of the new look auction, we have been amazed by the number of new registrations and positive responses received from both new and existing users of Bid-Alot regarding the new security measures in place."

In the two months since the new measures were put in place, Bid-Alot boasts that there has been no attempt at fraudulent activity by either buyers or sellers. Could this be the way forward for the future?
