Delia Copold Cracks The Matrix with Vanilla Ice and Jennifer Sky in Hilarious Spoof: The Helix...Loaded

Story covers Matrix comedy: The Helix...Loaded. This independent film is being touted as the "definitive Matrix spoof," and features rap star Vanilla Ice, supermodel Jennifer Sky, and upcoming comic talent Delia Copold. This film is scheduled for theatrical release in March 2005.

(PRWEB) January 1, 2005 -- Just when you thought The Matrix was gone from the theatres, Stained Iris Productions revives the now ubiquitous movie blockbuster in The Helix...Loaded. This action-packed indie delivers the signature Matrix eye-candy digital effects, while knocking out a wild and edgy parody that spoofs the entire Matrix Trilogy.

Matrix fans will thrill to this hi-tech comic romp down the proverbial rabbit hole. The Helix takes us on a ride through cyberspace with a group of rebellious, but bumbling techno-punks attempting to obtain and distribute the Helix, an enlightenment pill that delivers Nirvana in a single dose and threatens to destroy the "Big Brother" self-help regime that runs their world. Sound ridiculous? It is. Plenty of laughs sure to please Matrix fans worldwide.

Starring 90's rap star, Vanilla Ice (Rob van Winkle), and Maxim supermodel, Jennifer Sky, The Helix is an eclectic mix of established Hollywood names and the funniest upcoming comic talents. Delia Copold and Geremy Dingle create an uncanny and hilarious parody of the now beloved Matrix characters--the Agents. Starring as Agent Crack (Copold) and Agent Smak (Dingle), these rising talents portray a convincing sincerity within their ridiculous, mock-villainous characters--one that is reminiscent of Leslie Nielsen in the original Airplane (1980) and Naked Gun (1988) films.

The Helix is actually the second feature in which Delia Copold has paired up with Dingle. The two starred in the feature comedy L.A. Mode (2002) that has been held up in post-production due to legal issues. Recent credits for Geremy Dingle include: Angel (Fox TV), Wish You Were Dead (1999), Heartbreakers (2001), and Good Advice (2002).

Delia Copold has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) over 20 times, starring regularly in featured comedy sketches. Most recently, she has performed the recurring role of one of President Bush's party-hardy daughters, Barbara Bush (Jr.). She also starred as Venus in Dead Seven (2000), Virginia in Just Can't Get Enough (2001), and Katya Smirnova in the half-hour television comedy pilot The Really News (2004).

Copold's film and television acting repertoire is composed of a variety of dark and edgy comic roles. In fact, several characters Delia has portrayed were originally written for men, and then changed to a female role in the latter stages of pre-production to accomodate being able to specifically cast Copold. Director A. Raven Cruz was inspired to cast Copold as one of the agents in The Helix and wrote the traditionally male role just for her. In The Helix...Loaded, Delia continues to secure her reputation in the industry as being a character actress who delivers.

A versatile comedienne, Delia Copold, also brings her character-driven brand of comedy to the stage. Recently headlining at the world famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, Copold performed stand-up comedy to a howling SRO crowd. Her act includes scathingly clever perspectives on the emotional world of men and basketball, why marriage is a cult, and the American-Immigrant perspective on how to get rich quick. Copold's act is littered with in-your-face comic honesty and zany character impressions. Copold's amazing litany of bizarre comic characters creates an instant impression that she is prime Saturday Night Live material.

Romar Entertainment and DB3 are set to release The Helix...Loaded in theatres worldwide beginning March 18th, 2005.
