Miami, Fl (PRWEB) January 3, 2005 -- Possibility Media, publishers of Service Provider Weekly, the nations only newsweekly for ISPs and Service Providers, now in its fourth year, and delivered electronically every Monday to over 49,000 qualified subscribers, announced their Person of the Year Award for 2004, Ajit Deora, CEO, enKoo Inc.
The magazine chooses someone each year to receive the award from both nominations and the editorial board selections, and issues the award based on the achievements of the individual during the year. In this case, Ajit Deora and the enKoo SSL VPN appliance.
This years award goes to Ajit Deora, CEO of enKoo Inc., a Silicon Valley startup with an SSL VPN product for the SMB market. Jack Riley, Editor-in-Chief of Possibility Media, said that choosing Deora was easy after testing his product in the lab, as it was so simple to configure and setup, that even the average receptionist could do it.
What differentiates the product offering from enKoo, besides a number of technical aspects, is its price-point, and the editors were very impressed with the performance/price-point and security the product has to offer.
Ken Durham, editor of IT Week, Possibility Medias new title for IT professionals launching at the end of January 2005 said I knew this product was a winner as soon as I looked at its specs, and after talking with Ajit Deora, the passion the company has for the product shone through." He went on to say, when we set it up in the lab, it took less than 10 minutes to configure, and it was working, and its not often that security related products have such ease of use." Durham says he thinks the product will radically change the SSL VPN market and that many companies will now see it as an option, where before only the big guys considered it.
Terry Logan, Group Publisher of Possibility Media said he has rarely seen the editorial board so excited about a new product, but he said that after looking at the opportunities presented by the enKoo appliance, he could well understand their enthusiasm. Logan said there were several applications he could think of within the company that the enKoo appliance would allow them to take advantage of.
