Mexican Orphanage to Receive Local Backing for 4th Year

Love Without Borders offers teen and adult students an opportunity to stay with a Mexican family, attend Spanish classes at Cuauhnáhuac Spanish Language Institute and spend many hours volunteering at the orphanage. This includes but is not limited to teaching the children English during their four, six, or eight week stay. Love Without Borders is now part of Illinois non-profit organization M.A.D.E. (Making a Difference Everyday) and students will begin seeking sponsors and fundraising in January.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 2, 2005 - June 2005 marks the 4th year in a row that Love Without Borders (Amor Sin Fronteras) will contribute through hard work and fundraising to the Centro Convivencia de Asistencia Social of Curenavaca, Morelos, Mexico, an orphanage housing children from two months to 13 years of age. Each year, Chicago area high school students, college students and adults including Latin-Americans raise money to complete a special project for the orphanage. In years passed under the direction of Terika Smith, Assistant Principal of Chicago Academy High School, new beds, bedding and gifts for each orphan were given, a new library and media center was built and furnished, and in 2004 the students built a new playground. Love Without Borders offers students an opportunity to stay with a Mexican family, attend Spanish classes at Cuauhnáhuac Spanish Language Institute and spend many hours volunteering at the orphanage. This includes but is not limited to teaching the children English during their four, six, or eight week stay. As an idea starting from an Evanston Township High School student, Love Without Borders has quickly managed to move forward including movement under the umbrella of Illinois non-profit organization M.A.D.E. (Making a Difference Everyday). Students begin in January trying to diligently raise money for their trip, children in the orphanage, and their annual project. As the years continue, Love Without Borders plans to continue its efforts by reaching out to more orphanages in Mexico and abroad.
