Local Church Hosts Citywide "Stop the Violence" Prayer Service

In response to the increased murder rate and drug activity in the city of Louisville, South Louisville Christian Church is hosting a community prayer service on Sunday, January 2,2005 at 6:00 PM.

(PRWEB) January 1, 2005 -- We have just endured a difficult year in our city, struggling against the onslaught of street violence and the increasing drug market and sexually oriented businesses here in our city. Enough is enough! Satan is alive and well in the city of Louisville. We at South Louisville Christian Church are compelled to do something about it. We invite every church in the city of Louisville to join us at South Louisville Christian Church in a Blessed in the City prayer gathering on Sunday evening, January 2nd, at 6:00 PM. If you cannot attend, we ask that you gather in your home churches or take time out at 6:00 PM to pray. Let us unite as a body of believers and pour out our hearts to God, crying out to Him for His richest blessings for our city, seeking out His will in the new year and discovering Gods plan for our churches. Let us bathe this epidemic of drugs, violence and immorality in prayer, trusting completely in the power of God to overcome this demonic work!

Perhaps this would be a great opportunity for the believers in Christ to come together, to forge new relationships and new ministries, to unite in the effort of fulfilling the Great Commission? Along with the prayer gatherings, lets seek out servant evangelism opportunities, putting feet to our faith and action to our words. The opportunities are endless, for NOTHING is impossible with God" (Luke 1:37).

If you are interested, pray about this and let God reveal to you His plan. Then call (361-2379) or e-mail (southlouisville@aol.com) so we can add you to the list of those gathering under the Deuteronomy 28:3 banner Blessed in the City". We look forward to hearing from you.
