Pheedz Launches RSS Feeds Travel Website
Using the RSS syndication technology, Pheedz provides eight channels of travel information and specials.
(PRWEB) January 4, 2005 -- Today, Pheedz announced the launch of a new travel website that features RSS 2.0 feeds in eight channels of interest.
Pheedz was founded to allow users who subscribe to RSS feeds to receive summaries of travel information in their newsreaders or RSS aware browsers. This allows the user to keep abreast of specials or other news in their channel of interest, without surfing numerous Web sites. When users wish to learn more, clicking the summary will take them to the Web page with more information. In addition to providing travel information and specials through specialty travel feeds, Pheedz also provides traditional search for discounted hotels, car rentals, cruises and vacation packages in 10 languages. Many hotels are available at special Internet rates, even during sold-out periods.
Air fares are available through our affiliation with Hotwire at specially negotiated rates and discounts. Pheedz is closely held by London Financial LLC.
About RSS
Originally developed by Netscape, and heavily used by Bloggers, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML application that allows us to publish content that can be read in downloadable RSS newsreaders (sometimes called aggregators) or Web-based newsreaders such as Yahoo's "My Yahoo!" or in the Firefox and Opera browsers. From your aggregator you simply click on the desired orange XML button to subscribe to the feeds of your choice.
Once subscribed, as content is published, you will see a headline and short summary of a travel special or news. If interested in learning more, clicking on the summary will bring you to the full story.
