Search Engine ReliefSearch.org Launches to Benefit Earthquake & Tsunami Tragedy Relief Efforts

Internet entrepreneur Benjamin Padnos announced today the launch of a new online search engine, ReliefSearch.org, simplifying fundraising efforts for earthquake/tsunami disaster relief efforts.

Manhattan Beach, CA (PRWEB) January 3, 2005 -- Established to provide the simplest vehicle possible for people to generate funds for the Southeast Asian Earthquake/Tsunami relief effort, pay-per-click search engine ReliefSearch.org (http://www.ReliefSearch.org) launched today with all proceeds going toward the cause.

ReliefSearch.org earns revenues on a pay-per-click basis when users click on search results generated from the site. All click revenues generated from these searches will help fund the victims of the Earthquake/Tsunami disaster.

"Users can continue performing searches on the web as they normally would, only proceeds from their activities on ReliefSearch.org will help the cause," said internet entrepreneur Benjamin Padnos who launched the site. "So, we're encouraging users to use the ReliefSearch.org search engine instead of Google or Yahoo!

"In fact, the results are the same as Yahoos 'Sponsored Results, so users will have an extremely similar experience that theyre used to," Padnos added. The goal is 1 million searches in the next 30 days, hopefully more". Padnos estimates each click is worth roughly 10-15 cents toward relief efforts.

A week after one of the world's worst natural disasters, an unprecedented global aid operation is gathering steam to help in relief efforts. The exact death toll from the December 26, 2004, disaster will likely never be known, however the United Nations is estimating the number of people killed may approach 150,000 from a deep-sea earthquake which registered 9.0 on the Richter scale and triggered the tsunamis which pummeled the Indian Ocean coastlines.
