Tallahassee, FL (PRWEB) January 5, 2005 -- TJs DJs Record & CD Pool has announced February 2nd, 2005 as the date for the next TJs DJs Tastemakers Only DJ/Music Conference. TJs DJs has built a reputation spanning the past 10 years as a record pool dedicated to breaking music. What is a record pool? A pool is a collection of DJs that provides feedback to labels in exchange for advance music. To this end, TJs DJs has geared its website, www.TJsDJs.com to be on the cusp of new music and ideas that attracts over 40 million hits for 2004 including 6 million for December alone! But, the jewel of the site is the message board which involves over 4,000 members interested in networking and spreading good music. For his hard work, TJs DJs CEO, TJ Chapman recently received the Dickey Hazley Heritage Award from Clear Channels Ghetto Fabulous Live award ceremony held by Thrill Da Playa of WBWT 100.7.
Always the visionary, TJ Chapman introduced a radio friendly clean version of his already popular bi-weekly compilation pool CDs. Created in 1999, the CD pool acts as an addictive drug for the DJs and magazines," according to Chapman. Often, I get new music straight from the studio from artists like Lil Jon or the Ying Yang Twins before mastering and manufacturing. Its our way of being the first to spread the music." He further explains, labels dont relate CDs to DJs yet. I dont understand why. CDs are cheaper to manufacture and ship than vinyl, why should CD DJs be at a disadvantage? Why not give CD DJs the same versions and remixes that come on the vinyl? Thats why I created the CD pool." To further this cause, Chapman has also begun to spread music via mp3s in order for DJs, magazine writers, label execs, and more to receive music even faster.
