Magnatude Records Release Wear N' Tear February 1, 2005.

Tishamingo is a band you simply must hear. Based out of Athens, Ga., this quartet plays a spectacular brand of blues-soaked rock and roll. The much anticipated album from hard rockin’ southern band Tishamingo is set to release and is ready to hit the airwaves. The band is comprised of Jess Franklin (guitar/vocals), Cameron Williams (guitar/vocals), Stephen Spivey (bass) and Richard Proctor (drums). Their first track off their rockin’ blues-dripping sound is the single Wastin’ Time, a song written by Jess Franklin. The music reflects a high caliber of musicianship that makes this band both a throwback to their musical ancestors and a frontrunner in today's crowded musical bandscape. Mastery of their instruments, mature songwriting and strong live shows make Tishamingo a name to write on any listener's short list. Two bluesy, yet, melodic lead guitars with fat tones and two lead vocalists with world weary soul draw comparisons with numerous legendary bands such as The Allman Bros., Grand Funk, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, and the great Stevie Ray Vaughn. Tishamingo welcomes all of the comparisons

Wear N' Tear has a strong Southern Rock flavor mixed with good old blues-based rock 'n' roll, skillful jamming, soulful singing and honest lyrics. You'll hear how the music of the late '60's and early '70's, as well as growing up in the swampy wetlands of northern Florida, has influenced the band's playing and writing. To ensure the creative vibe the band secured producer David Barbe (Drive by Truckers) and mixing guru John Keane (Widespread Panic, R.E.M., Stockholm Syndrome). The band will tour the album shortly after release in February 2005.
