egrips® Technology Nominated for Product Design and Development Engineering Award

egrips® technology, a super grippy, silicone-based material providing users a slip-free grip for their cell phones and PDAs, has been nominated for the Product Design and Development Engineering Award.

(PRWEB) January 6, 2005 -- Flexible Innovations Limited, developer of egrips® technology, has been nominated for the Product Design and Developments 10th Annual Engineering Award. This award honors engineers and the products they design. The contest is open to any design engineering team working in the United States that developed a creative and innovative product sold between September 2003 and August 2004.

egrips® technology is a thin, super grippy, silicone-based material from which egrips® are made. egrips® are appliques that adhere to cell phones, PDAs, handheld devices, medical assistive devices and sporting equipment, providing a better grip and keeping the device from slipping from your hand or off your console.

About egrips®
Flexible Innovations Limited, a leader in development of advanced materials, created egrips® technology, a very thin silicone based product with unique features. egrips® safeguard mobile phones, smart phones, PDAs, and other handheld and medical electronic devices from potentionally damaging falls by giving users a better grip. With egrips® attached, devices dont slide out of users hands or off the edges of slippery surfaces. For critical applications, such as canes and walkers, egrips® provide a more secure firm hold on the device for added safety

Products featuring egrips® technology offer the best grip possible. The grip is further enhanced when one piece of the material is attached to a glove and another is attached to the handle of the object thats being gripped. Products featuring egrips® technology have an incredible grip when the two faces come in contact with each other. The material provides optimum performance and safety."
