Culver City (PRWEB) January 6, 2005 -- STAR ECO Station wildlife rescue center transforms into a Mesozoic Forest for Dinofaire, January 22, 2005, 10 AM--4 PM. This dino-riffic weekend is jam-packed with live shows, paleontological artifacts, fossils, and an archeological dig for kids, plus crafts, vendors and food!

Dinofaire brings to life the magic of a lost world and reflects the current threats that endangered animals face today. Kids love the live interactive performances by Dinoman, whose wildly entertaining and educational show includes massive and colorful inflatable dinosaurs and an imaginative time trek through the epochs and ages of the now-extinct beasts! STAR Education's Real Science hosts an archeological dig for kids and the dino-mite display of authentic artifacts and fossils from the Natural History Museum is not to be missed!

Dinofaire is January 22, 10am-4pm at STAR ECO Station, 10101 W. Jefferson Blvd., Culver City, CA, 90232.

STAR ECO Station is a non-profit 18,000 sq-ft environmental education and wildlife rescue center in Culver City that provides environmental education fieldtrips, classroom instruction, after-school enrichment, school assemblies and community events that annually reach 1 million learners of all ages. Through a collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, STAR ECO Station rescues and houses "at-risk" and endangered exotic wildlife. With a mission of Conservation Through Education, STAR ECO Station is dedicated to creating a new generation of environmentalists committed to protecting the Earths resources.

Visitors study ecology and environmentalism on a breathtaking encounter with rescued tropical birds, exotic reptiles, wildcats, ocean life and 15 educational displays, including the Santa Monica BayKeepers walk-thru Kelp Forest display. The STAR ECO Station is open to the public on weekends for hands-on eco-educational tours, providing quality environmental science education aligned with California State Standards. Admission for weekend tours is $5 for children, $6 for seniors, and $7 for adults. The STAR ECO Station hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including community events, workshops, conferences and birthday parties. Voted the Best Place to see Animals," LA Family Magazine, 2002, and voted the Best Teaching Zoo/Animal Rescue in 2003," LA Parent Magazine, STAR ECO Station is a valued local treasure.
