Chef Bud Selmi, president of Sizzlin Sauces LLC, recently doubled his lineup of original hot sauces with the release medium versions of Spittin Fire, Howlin Hollar and Creepin Quag. The new sauces remain true to the companyÂs ÂYearn for the Burn motto, while turning down the heat a bit for some of the lineÂs expanding customer base. Spittin Fire Medium contains one-third of the habanero peppers found in the original recipe, and the medium versions of Howlin Hollar and Creepin Quag reduce the habaneros by half.
Hot sauce critic Hans Lieneschof recently reviewed Creepin Quag and wrote: ÂI got this bottle in the mail from maker Bud Selmi on Christmas Eve right before I left our apartment for a weekend with friends and family. After trying and thoroughly enjoying his Howlin' Hollar Sauce, I was eagerly anticipating this new concoction, which contains habaneros, cranberries and plums! So we got to the in-laws. Tried it on turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. On Christmas Day at my mom's, I had it on really good roast beast. This is the kind of hot sauce that makes doing this site a lot of fun! Very unique ingredients, excellent flavor - this is one I demand all of my friends try! It also has a story about the name on the bottle! 5 Pepper Rating. See all of Hans LieneschofÂs reviews at: http://www.saucerater.com.
