(PRWEB) January 8, 2005 -- The Couple Comfort Blanket helps solve this nightly problem making it easier for both parties to find an agreeable temperature setting for the home while affording both a comfortable sleep.
We all want and need a good night's sleep to function properly and stay healthy. The quality of sleep is partially determined by the mattress we choose and our body temperature.
A very common problem facing couples every night is the fact we are all different from one another. Men and women often have different temperature preferences. This body temperature issue is commonly called being "warm natured" or "cold natured". The "Couple Comfort" Blanket helps solve this nightly problem making it easier for both parties to find an agreeable temperature setting for the home while affording both a comfortable sleep.
The "Couple Comfort" blanket had it's beginning in 1997 after Greg Griffin, one of the partners, married. He and his new bride were having the "battle of the thermostat" at night as so many couples do. He is much more warm natured than his wife. When his new in-laws paid a visit, Greg made a quick comment to his mother-in law that "someone should make a half blanket / half sheet to help solve this problem". After the visit she went back home and sewed the first blanket/sheet combination. "We still sleep under the very first one she made for us."
Over the years, Greg and his wife, had 20 or so made using different fabrics to experiment and give to friends and family. It seemed everyone who saw it wanted one because they had the same problem. These friends and family urged Greg to pursue the idea when he had time. After moving back to Memphis from Houston, Greg & his wife decided to set the wheels in motion to start production.
In the fall of 2003, Greg got together with the other partners, Mitch Golleher and Jerry Kelly, to form GKG Enterprises, LLC. to pursue this and other ideas. Today it's here.
