Vexcom Announces Potential Lead Distribution Program - Does Your Web Design Company Need More Leads?
New sales lead distribution service for web designers and web design firms. There is a lot of competition in the industry and this is a great way to capture new clients at a very low cost.
(PRWEB) January 17, 2005 -- Vexcom Atlanta is currently doing a feasibility study which would distribute "hot" leads out to a network of web design companies throughout the US.
"We spend a huge amount of money marketing web development services, only about 10% of those are actual qualified candidates for vexcom." remarked Vexcom CEO - Wesley E. Warren. "Vexcom has moved into a very specialized market and going forward in 2005 our primary focus will be strictly on back-end eBusiness consulting and development."
This is a very specialized market yet Vexcom still receives 20-50 request for standard small - medium size business web sites. Once the lower end projects are weeded out, the effective cost to Vexcom per qualified lead becomes $300-$500.
On an average month we discard 20-30 RFP's (Request for Proposal) because they just do not fit our client profile and we do not have the time or resources to deal with these smaller projects. Our client profile demands a project budget of at least $30,000 - so we basically disregard all the smaller projects. Many times jobs start like this but then grow in size and can lead to long term clients but with our new area of specialization we do not have the resources to support these clients.
In order to recoup wasted marketing dollars, vexcom is considering taking on a limited number of affiliates to distribute these leads to. These affiliates will be required to go through a screening process and demonstrate the ability to deliver a high quality product. Participating design companies would pay a semi-annual subscription fee to be on a lead distribution list.
The companies can review the leads and decide if they want to purchase the lead for around $15-$25 depnding on exclusivity and other factors. This would deliver active leads to appropriate companies at a fraction of the cost of tradional lead gathering and allow smaller firms that lack the marketing budget to bring in new clients.
Most lead programs require the firm to pay a commission based on the cost of the project, ususally 10-15% - but with this program the lead is turned over to the firm and Vexcom is out of the picture, "We do not intend on acting as a middle-man or getting involved in the project at all, we just do not see the point in throwing away $30-$50,000 in potential sales each month" - noted Songyoun Kim - Vexcom's VP of International Business.
The feasibility study is under way and should be completed by February 15, 2005. Vexcom is calling out to the web design community to see how much interest is there in an open letter to the web design community which can be viewed at http://www.freelancedesigners.com/leads/
"Our business focus has brought us to a very specialized market niche, most of the clients that come to us do not have a need for webservice intergation or enterprise level extranet systems, but since we have created such a large presence in the industry we end up with a barrage of standard web design request." said Amar Lungare - Vexcom Lead Developer
