"I lived two years in developing countries, most of the time working directly with farmers on spice crop improvement," says Timothy Moley, owner of Chocolove. "I've worked very closely with farmers in developing countries, participating in five separate projects in Indonesia, India and Guatemala. I learned to speak Spanish and Indonesian so that I could understand and communicate clearly with the people I was working with."

"Many years of development work have taught me that there are no simple answers to improving the lives of people in other countries and in other cultures. I have gained a keen awareness of what works and what doesnt work in developing countries. I chose the World Cocoa Foundation because after careful review, I found that they have a realistic and practical approach to affecting positive change."

In addition to the monetary support Chocolove is providing, Moley is eager to work with other WCF member companies on developing priorities and program strategies to improve farmer livelihoods. "My experience in international development, combined with the ability to speak Spanish and Indonesian, is a nice fit with the Foundation. I am excited to volunteer my time to assist with field work in cocoa growing regions and I look forward to meeting cocoa farmers and working with them one on one."
