So say fans of the scripted Sci-Fi drama appearing on UPN Fridays at 8 pm, and they are taking advantage of the upcoming heart shaped holiday to say it in a manner that cast, crew and studio heads can hold in their hands.
Coming off the December holidays, where re-runs and pre-emption was par for the course, the fans are sending the message to everyone associated with Enterprise that they are still out here and eager for new episodes. Moreover, they want fans who may have strayed to give the show another chance. Critics and fans alike agree that current season writing, action, and character development have hit a certain stride. One issue still drawing criticism is lack of promotion for the show. Whether real or perceived, itÂs a common complaint among fans. Summed up by one member of the fan group, The Enterprise Project, ÂNot even one preview for next weekÂs Enterprise episode Daedalus tonight! (referring to a January 7 re-run) First original episode after more than six weeks of re-runs and they do not show the promo for the new first-run episode that will air next week! (January 14th) Frustrated? You bet!
Like sweethearts who sometimes bicker but ultimately know where their hearts lie, fans are anxious to accentuate the positive. What better time to spread a little affection than the holiday synonymous with love?
In the spirit of the holiday that gives us the opportunity to express the deepest sentiments of our hearts, the fans of Enterprise will be expressing their love for the show and hoping the decision makers will show a little love in return by renewing the series for a fifth season.
The members of The Enterprise Project ask everyone out there who is a fan of the franchise, the show, and the individual actors, to spread the word. Join us in making sure the mail boxes of Les Moonves, Dawn Ostroff, Manny Coto, Brannon Braga, Rick Berman and all the cast and crew of Star Trek: Enterprise are brimming with Valentines this season.
