SEMCares.com, a new charitable organization and site created by Gregory Markel and Infuse Creative to rally the search engine marketing (SEM) and optimization community, today announced the launch of the organization’s website, http://www.SEMcares.com. The website’s purpose is to act as a focal point to rally the SEM community to help those in need by using participants’ SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM skills to generate awareness and financial aid to disasters and worthy causes by delivering search engine visitors to deserving organization pages and sites. Contributing search engine marketers can then show the world their efforts by logging their donated SEM skill time and monies on the SEMcares.com “SEM Contributions Board” which displays the total SEM industries “Man Hours” and “PPC/Paid Search Money” contributed. The first cause SEMCares.com is focused on is tsunami relief in Asia.

“SEMcares.com calls to the SEO & SEM/PPC members of the Search Engine Marketing community to support worth causes like tsunami relief,” said Gregory Markel, the founder of SEMCares.com. “This community has a special skill set that can be harnessed into a very powerful and generous disaster relief donation multiplier.”

SEMcares.com is asking the Search Engine Marketing community to contribute ANY amount of SEO coding/PPC setup time and/or PPC/Paid Search financial contribution to setting up SEO and/or PPC driven traffic to any deserving and reputable relief organization's pages, or simply volunteer SEM work with the relief organization sites themselves. Besides tsunami relief, there is a list of other worthy organizations to support at SEMCares.com

SEMCares.com is encouraging the Search Engine Marketing community to donate its SEM expertise in addition to straight financial support to charitable organizations because delivering qualified visitors to those organization’s sites will equal greater awareness and greater donations. For example if PPC marketer wanted to make a $20 donation to a charitable organization, he or she could also spend $0.05 cents delivering a single visitor via Google Adwords/Adsense to a relief organization page who could also make a $20 donation. Donations could increase exponentially via services donated to SEMCares.com.

While tsunami relief is the current focus, SEMCares.com has been created for the long haul. The organization plans to keep the website/concept in place through this current disaster to aid in unforeseen future events. The organization will continually rally the Search Engine Marketing community to provide support to those in need on an ongoing basis.
