The New Sundance Kid"
Terrence Howard slated to be the one to watch in 2005, as he prepares to support three films at the Sundance Film Festival.
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 14, 2005 -- Terrence Howard is soon to join the ranks of Sundance royalty: John Turturro, Steve Buscemi, and William H. Macy.
The Sundance Film Festival like Hollywood is often lead by a handful of players going from one successful project to another, and sometimes appearing in several films in the same year.
However, in the late nineties a new player emerged, the Sundance Kid". In 1997, Parker Posey was the Sundance kid with three films at the Sundance Film Festival. Patricia Clarkson was definitely the proclaimed Sundance kid in 2003, with roles in four different films in the festival. Suddenly, actresses who had previously played supporting roles in dozens of movies were everywhere.
Prepare to add to the above mentioned list, Terrence Howard. Howard has broken his festival teeth at the Toronto film festival during the premiere of the Paul Haggis film Crash". Later this month he will follow up with 3 films at Sundance: Hustle & Flow" by Craig Brewer, Lackawanna Blues" by Ruben Santiago-Hudson, and The Salon".
In addition to this abundance of Sundance selections, Howard also has roles in the upcoming films "Their Eyes are watching god" with Halle Berry, and Crash" with Sandra Bullock and Don Cheadle.
Though Howard has appeared in over 30 films to date, he is definitely slated as one to watch in 2005.
