NS Basic Corporation Announces New Development Tool - Now it's Easy to Develop Apps for the Windows Desktop

NS Basic Corporation today announced the immediate availability of NS Basic/Desktop 1.0, a new development tool for creating Windows XP and Windows 2000 applications.

(PRWEB) January 18, 2005 -- NS Basic Corporation today announced the immediate availability of NS Basic/Desktop 1.0, a new development tool for creating Windows XP and Windows 2000 applications.

"We've been making easy to use development tools for Palm OS and Windows CE for many years." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "It seemed a lot of what we have been doing is equally relevant on the desktop. Tools need to be friendly and easy to learn, easy to deploy and well supported."

NS Basic/Desktop 1.0 is complete standalone development solution, featuring:

Easy to use, standard and structured BASIC
Over a dozen built in screen objects
Creates buttons, fields, popups and more
Serial and internet communications
Math and trigonometric function support
Produces stand alone, installer free executables
Uses standard third party ActiveX controls
Easily hooks into databases such as Oracle and ADO
Interfaces with COM aware apps such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Royalty free distribution of applications you create
Supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Lots of sample code
IDE in English, German and Japanese
130 page hard copy Handbook

"I was very surprised that I could make an application in less than 15 minutes that created MS Outlook tasks, appointments, emails, notes and journal entries on the fly. NS Basic/Desktop is much easier to get started using than most other major PC programming languages and with the ability to add ActiveX controls can be made very powerful." said Keith McKibbin Sr. Program Manager, PalmOne, Inc, one of the beta testers.

Pricing and Availability
Applications developed with NS Basic/Desktop are distributed royalty free. NS Basic/Desktop 1.0 normally costs $149.95 for a single user: an introductory special of $99.95 lasts until January 31, 2005. Enterprise licenses are also available. The toolkit runs on Windows 2000 or XP. The product is available immediately from the company's website.
