Liza J. Sloss, publicist (Slingshot PR) for actress and voice over talent, Tara Platt, is proud to announce that Tara just wrapped indie horror film, Death's Door" followed by recent co-star spot on "Charmed," and will play Clara Schumann at the Disney Concert Hall in January
(PRWEB) January 15, 2005 -- After wrapping indie action film The Last Bad Neighborhood," Tara Platt is following it up with a dip back into the horror genre, starring in independent film Death's Door," a ghostly horror flick that's being described as "a film made by horror fans, for fans of real horror. Think Poltergeist happening on a reality series about a spirit medium and mix it with some Evil Dead pissed off spirits." The film was directed by George Scileppi, and penned by Ken Gust and Alex Keir.
Platt is currently in rehearsals with actor/writer John de Lancie (Star Trek, Days of Our Lives), at the Los Angeles Walt Disney Concert Hall for a January production of "First Nights: Clara and Robert Schumann," written by de Lancie. Platt will play Clara Wieck Schumann, opposite JD Cullum (Judging Amy) as Schumann and Richard Doyle (Justice League) as Herr Wieck, at the newly constructed Frank Gehry building.
Tara will be seen as the etherial Muse in February opposite Rose McGowan on Charmed" and can be heard voicing Jinny in the popular manga series Marmalade Boy" released by TokyoPop.
Tara, located in Los Angeles, has been very busy as of late with her new production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions, and pre-production work on the character-driven drama "Barstow," set for a late spring shoot.
Platt is slated to star in the feature film Time and Tide" by TV and film writer/director Michael Carvaines, early this spring.
