A US Trade Mission to Vietnam in conjunction with the 15th International Vietnam Expo 2005

(PRWEB) January 16, 2005 -- The 15th Vietnam International Expo 2005 will be held from April 6th to 10th , 2005 in Ha Noi, Vietnam. The Vietnam Expo - the annual most important trade event in Vietnam - aims to boost exports, economic cooperation and to promote international trade, tourism and investment development.

With the ratification of the Bilateral Trade Agreement, trading between US and Vietnam has increased significantly. The two-way trade between the two countries increased from US$ 220 million in 1994 - the year the embargo was lifted - to US$ 5.9 billion in 2003.

To assists US companies to tap into this emerging and potential market of over 80 million people, a US pavilion featuring a US Catalogue show will be organized at the Expo by the Vietnam Resource Group - a consulting service firm, based in Washington DC.

In addition, a US Business Mission to Vietnam is scheduled from April 2nd to April 14th, 2005 to provide US companies executives with practical information and hands-on evaluation of various business opportunities in Vietnam. It will be led by Mr. Clayman Myers, Chairman of the Vietnamese American Business Council. Mr. Myers has over thirty years domestic and international management, engineering, marketing, budgeting, and construction management experience. Mr. Myers is an engineering and management consultant to The World Bank for various projects in Asian and Eastern European countries. He also lectures at George Washington University.

In addition, the delegation will also be accompanied by Mr. Le Xuan Duong, Director of the Vietnam Trade Office in New York - a trade promotion agency of the Ministry of Trade of Vietnam.
