Award Winning Independent Feature The Five Stages of Beer" Returns to Park City

The Five Stages of Beer, an independent feature film which earned the Gold Medal for Excellence in the Most Creative Use of Music Style at the first annual Park City Film Music Festival, returns for three encore performances.

With its emphasis on music used in independent film, the Park City Film Music Festival highlights movies that best utilize music or a variety of music throughout the course of a film. The Park City Film Music Festival runs concurrently with the Sundance and Slamdance Film Festivals.

Set in San Diego and featuring music by Peter Senchuk, as well as bands local to the San Diego music scene, The Five Stages of Beer was a perfect fit for the festival as music plays an integral part of the storytelling. The film screens at 8:30 pm on Saturday, Jan. 22nd, 6:00 pm, on Monday, Jan. 24th, and 4:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 29th. The Jan 29th screening will be followed by a Q&A with the Director And Producer. The screenings will take place in the Main Street Mall at 333 Main Street, Park City, Utah.

The Five Stages of Beer chronicles the romantic trials and tribulations of Dennis, a man trying to get back on his feet after his wife leaves him for a clown...literally! With the help of his best friend Mick and the patrons of his local watering hole, Dennis embarks on what is sometimes a disastrous, but in the end telling, foray into the dating scene and life itself, as he goes through the Five Stages of Beer.

The second annual Park City Film Music Festival will be held in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, January 20-30, 2005. This is the first film festival in the world singularly recognizing the contribution of composers and their music to film, and the first of such festivals in the Americas.
