The award recognizes one or more healthcare industry chief executive officers who demonstrate leadership and commitment to using information technology to advance their healthcare organizations strategic goals, and is particularly prestigious because the winners are selected by the nations leading healthcare CEOs and CIOs.

The award is open to CEOs of any type of healthcare organization and will be judged by a panel of healthcare CEOs, CIOs and other senior-level executives from healthcare provider organizations.
