New Book Featuring Strategies for Dealing With High Crime Communities Released

A new book titled "The Prevention Agency: A Public Safety Model for High Crime Communities" has been released. The book offers innovative approaches to reducing crime and the level of victimization in high crime communities.

(PRWEB) January 18, 2005 -- A new book titled "The Prevention Agency: A Public Safety Model for High Crime Communities" written by Critical Intervention Services President, KC Poulin and Dr. Charles Nemeth of California University of Pennsylvania has been released.

This book proposes creating innovative approaches to crime control, reducing the level of victimization, and in turn, elevating the quality of life within high crime communities. Using a partnership between private, public and non-profit sectors and resources, the authors propose a new organization whose aim is to coordinate resources and public safety initiatives to transform high crime communities.

The Prevention Agency posits a new world order of policing distressed communities. Using private sector justice professionals, in a pre-eminent and even dominant position as compared to the public law enforcement superstructure, shakes up the status quo. The text offers up this innovative organization as an alternative for communities and their beleaguered residents. The Prevention Agency, an uncanny blend of private, entrepreneurial, community and public resources, delivers not only change in how things are done, but also offers results which communities under siege can only presently dream of.

Also written by K.C. Poulin and Chuck Nemeth is, Public Safety and Private Security: A Community Based Approach. This book was published by Prentice Hall outlining the everyday activities and efforts of Critical Intervention Services and its methodologies for reclaiming and rehabilitating high crime communities. Both books can be purchased through Amazon.com or the S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute at www.s2institute.com/s2store.html
