New Self Published Children's Book Released
Dager of the Tasman Empire (ISBN 0-9737177-0-X), author Teresa Saari's second installment in the underwater series, was released on December 16th.
(PRWEB) January 20, 2005 -- The author's first book entitled Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom (ISBN 0-9737177-1-8 or 141201642-8) was so well received by readers, that they were initially disappointed to discover that book two was not even about Imogene.
"I realized early on that although the boys who had read book one enjoyed it, there were just as many boys who were reluctant to pick the book up, because a girl adorns the cover. My desire is to entertain all children, and so I knew that book two had to feature a boy character."
Since publishing her first story, Saari has become an advocate for children's literacy. Her efforts have landed her widespread recognition on radio spots across Canada, where she has shared her tips to encourage children to read with listeners.
Both titles can be found at Coles, Smithbooks, Chapters and Indigo outlets in and around Edmonton, as well as at various other bookstores, such as Audrey's and Greenwood's Bookshoppe. In British Columbia they are available at Bolen Books in Victoria, The Little Shop of Novels in Chemainus, and Volume One Books in Duncan. They are also available for purchase on the author's website, via paypal.
