FreeiPodUK launched this week promising consumers a free iPod mini. To claim a free iPod mini consumers are required to register with the site, complete two sponsored offers and refer five friends who do the same.
While the offer has been viewed with some sceptisism over 25,000 users registered with the site within the first five days of it going live.
"While the offer may look almost too good to be true, the iPod's are in fact financed by our sponsors. We receive commissions for driving new customers to our advertisers and the revenue generated enables us to provide a free iPod to every qualifying member", says Sarah Knapp of FreeiPodUK.
Currently FreeiPodUK's sponsor offers include: American Express, BT Yahoo Broadband, E2Save, Equitalk, Powergen, More Than, Sky Digital, The AA and Lloyds Current Account.
"All customers need do is sign-up up at FreeiPodUK.co.uk, enter an email address and password to create an account, participate in two of their chosen offers and then get 5 friends to do the same. Customers can log into their account at any time to check on its status" explained Sarah.
This offer is available to UK residents only and is restricted to one account per household.
