Toastmasters Club To Hold Debate On Instituting Military Draft
The Park Ridge, Illinois, Toastmasters Club will hold a debate on whether the U.S. government should re-institute the draft. Guests are welcome to attend.
Park Ridge, IL (PRWEB) January 20, 2005 -- The war in Iraq has divided opinion in this country and, at the same time, raised issues about our military-preparedness of the U.S. for the war on terror." One such issue is whether or not the U.S. will need to institute a military draft to meet its new challenges. On the evening of Thursday, January 27, the Park Ridge Toastmasters Club of Park Ridge, Illinois, will be holding a debate on a controversial topic.
The debate topic will be, Resolved: The U.S. government should re-institute the military draft." The debate is open to the public. Guests are welcome to witness a debate on this important topic. There is no charge for attending. Refreshments will be served.
Toastmasters International, of which the Park Ridge club is a member, is an organization dedicated to the improvement of communication and leadership skills. The debate will take place as part of the clubs regular meeting.
The meeting will take place on the 3rd floor of the First United Methodist Church at 418 Touhy Avenue in Park Ridge, and will commence promptly at 7:30 pm. The entrance to the church is one block north on Grant Street, with parking across the street. The meeting will last approximately 2 hours.

Park Ridge Toastmasters meets on the 2nd of 4th Thursdays of the month. The debate will be held in the second half of the meeting.
