(PRWEB) January 24, 2005 -- In the Sun (www.inthesun.it) officially launched it's new website today, a site aimed at helping world travelers. This Internet portal is inspired by and dedicated to independent, curious globetrotters longing for world knowledge that is typically found "off the beaten path" .
The core of the website is a frequently updated travel blog with a series of intriguing articles and pictures of experiences met along the way by traveler/journalist Silvana Mattera. Readers may also contribute comments regarding their own travels and questions for Ms. Mattera. Besides travel reports , visitors will also find political, economic and social topics as well as cultural, art and sporting events found abroad.
Inthesun.it is the brainchild of Italian-German Silvana Mattera , an aspirant freelance journalist whose intent is to turn a lifelong passion into a career . She holds a degree in Political Science from Instituto Universitario Orientale in Napoli, Italy. In 2003 she completed an internship for the Italian Foreign Ministry at the Italian General Consulate in Leipzig, Germany. She is also fluent in Italian, German, English, Russian and French.
Ms. Mattera has no limitations on where her travels may take visitors of IntheSun.it . The author will move in accordance to circumstances and contacts , with the 'flow of events' often leading to landing in the right place at the right time. The author 's current geographic position can always be checked out through an interactive world map on the website. To date Ms. Mattera has traveled to: Polynesia, West Indies, Germany , Prague, Romania, Egypt, Russia, Siberia, Mongolia, China, Indonesia and extensively throughout Italy.
This site was created to provide a new direct info-channel for independent travelers all over the world. It is also a portal where the author's personal experience is made available to all. It will give globetrotters a chance to meet people with a similar attitude, allow them to share routes and most importantly share knowledge. According to Ms. Mattera, "it is surely makes more sense to leave and try to work, rather than continuing to work while trying to leave again."
