Blog reveals hidden identity of reality TV show participant; raises questions about show authenticity

One of the contestants on ABC's "The Bachelorette" has been revealed as an actor – contrary to what he has said on the show.

Washington Socialites (, an entertainment blog in the nation’s capital, announced today that "Bachelorette" contestant Fabrice, who listed himself as a real estate investor on his show application, is actually Fabrice Le Parc, an actor / model from New York City.

Originally from France, Le Parc has acted in several productions. In 2003, he starred in the comedy "4 Secondes de Chute Libre" at the Theatre de l'Opprime in Paris. That same year, he was also cast in Operation Seduction II, a French TV show. Le Parc has also appeared in a few advertisements, including one for Philips.

In addition to the controversy regarding Le Parc's profession, there is debate swirling the Web about his sexual-orientation. These questions were first raised after a blog reader emailed editors claiming he had dated Le Parc in the past.

After investigation, Washington Socialites has taken the stance that Le Parc is gay. The site has released a gallery with screenshots of Le Parc’s profiles on different homosexual-oriented websites, his Friendster profile, and quotes from another man that says he, too, dated Le Parc.

These findings stir debate about the possibility that Le Parc is a plot twist, planted by ABC producers, or that he is an aspiring actor that lied to get screen time on the program.

At this point in the show, there are only six bachelors left for this season’s Bachelorette, Jen Schefft, to choose from -- and Le Parc is one of them. He made the cut on Monday evening’s show, which was episode three.
