Give the Gift of Life this Valentines Day Childrens HeartLink Offers a Charitable Valentines Day Gift for Sweethearts of All Ages

Childrens HeartLink, a Minneapolis-based international medical charity, is providing an alternative to flowers and chocolates this Valentines Day. Through a new online campaign, sweethearts can now provide their loved ones with charitable Heart-to-Heart Valentines -- while helping to heal the hearts of children in developing countries around the world, 50% of all proceeds will be donated to our partner hospitals in Cochin, India and Penang, Malaysia who are providing necessary medical support in the tsunami region.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) January 28, 2005 -- A Heart-to-Heart Valentine is an ideal gift for men, women and children. Ranging in prices from $25 to $5000, Heart-to-Heart Valentines will ultimately provide support to one of the many children treated though Childrens HeartLink missions and our partner hospitals in the tsunami region. For example, a $100 Heart-to-Heart Valentine can provide a one-year supply of penicillin for 4 children to prevent rheumatic fever (a leading cause of heart disease in children) and support tsunami relief efforts. This is a charitable alternative to the traditional and temporary gift of a dozen roses. Instead of jewelry, donors are encouraged to consider giving a $5000 Heart-to-Heart Valentine to cover the costs of complete open-heart surgery for a child and support tsunami relief efforts -- a priceless gift of dedication to children around the world.

The Heart-to-Heart Valentine is a wonderful Valentines Day gift to share with a loved one of any age," said Elizabeth Bickel, president of Childrens HeartLink.

Its also a great opportunity for parents to teach their children philanthropy while saving another childs life. Traditional Valentines Day gifts are temporary, but this gift will last a lifetime!"

The Heart-to-Heart Valentines will be available for purchase online at www.childrensheartlink.org beginning Jan. 20. Recipients of the Heart-to-Heart Valentines will receive a Valentines Day card sent by Childrens HeartLink, highlighting the monetary amount of the donation and listing the name of the donor.

Each separate donation of $50 or more earns you 500 Northwest Airline WorldPerks bonus miles. Simply include your WorldPerks Account number in the PayPal notes field.
