City Schools of Decatur Launches 6 New Web Sites Using Delegate Software

Working with the the City Schools of Decatur, f2 Technology has launched 6 new Web sites for the school system. This experience has led the company to enter the education market as an affordable solution for Web based communications for schools.

Decatur, GA (PRWEB) January 31, 2005 -- f2 Technology today announced that the City Schools of Decatur has launched 6 Web sites using Delegate Software. The sites include The Early Childhood Learning Center, the city's three elementary schools, Glennwood 4/5 Academy and Renfroe Middle School.

Each school will have the ability to update every page on the site, as well as, add new pages to the news and calendar areas. Each page can be sent via e-mail to members of the school community at the same time it is being updated or added. The sites include:

- A home page with the most recent news and calendar events
- A message from the principal of each school
- A school history page
- A faculty & staff page with contact information
- A parent information page to contain PTO/PTA news and updates
- A school calendar
- A news page for important updates to the school community
- A page for media center resources
- A page for updated cafeteria menus
- A helpful links page, and
- sports and club pages for the Renfroe site.

"These newly designed sites will assist the school district in achieving at least two of the goals of the 5-Year Strategic Plan," said Sherri Breunig, the Director of Community and Public Relations for the school system. "We believe this new software will enable us to ensure equity and consistency among our school Web sites and to provide community members with timely information about our schools."

The school principals will manage each site with the assistance of the Media Specialists. Sean Quinn, the system Webmaster will have access to all sites via Delegate Software. Multiple administrators for each site will help keep the sites content current with news and information.
