American couture design house Carasan will present its Fall 2005 Â?Town & CountryÂ? Collection, leading the kick off of internationally acclaimed NYC Fashion Week. AmericaÂ?s Next Top Model industry Â?it girlÂ? Erin Ralph will close the show in a custom-made Carasan design.

On February 4, 2005, couture design house Carasan will present its Fall 2005 “Town & Country” Collection. Carasan’s show commences at Midnight at Temple, 240 West 52nd Street (betw Broadway & 8th), NY, NY (Doors open at 10pm for advance seating).

Designers Cassandra and Terri Rosenthal draw inspiration from the fairy tales of The Prince and The Pauper for CARASAN’s latest vision, the Country Girl, clad in her hand spun wooly, tweeds and furs from the farm meeting her long lost sister, the glamorous Princess, who lives in the big city. The “urban meets rural” clash of their inspired mix creates an idiosyncratic harmony that first surprises, then harmonizes in perfection. Lush wools, tweeds, knits, hand dyed silks, velvets and furs in a cornucopia of rich fall tones reminiscent of sunsets, fallen snow and old world holiday conjure up love in the air and tugging of heart strings where everything is possible.

Celebrity model, Erin Ralph of the popular WE TV series “Young, Sexy and …” and recent inductee on “America’s Next Top Model” as the industry’s “it girl” will grace the catwalk in a custom-made Carasan design. Aeris Model Management, whose philosophy holds integrity as its cornerstone and serves as an advocate for newly established models, will provide a bevy of beauties for the runway. Carasan has selected Temple as its venue for the show and its after-party destination. Temple’s posh décor will serve as the perfect backdrop. With a “who’s who” of noteworthies slipping through the tightly guarded door, Temple has rapidly positioned itself as one of NYC’s trendiest nightspots. Carasan incorporates Swarovski in its designs for added dazzle, while LRM (Lincoln Road Magazine) elevates the esteem of the show and after-party with product donations.

Carasan is an American couture design house with offices based in New York. Having exploded onto the fashion scene in 2001, Carasan quickly established its place in the fashion world – earning enthusiastic praise amongst fashionistas for its distinctive, handmade designs, bold color palettes and intricate knits that are without peer in both quality and complexity. Carasan’s line is designed with an uncompromising spirit. All pieces are made from only hand selected, premium materials – from hand-dyed knits, luxurious furs and eastern silks. Simply put, Carasan raises the bar in fashion standards industry-wide.

Carasan’s founder, 21 year old Cassandra Rosenthal, has captured massive attention with her forward thinking and bold designs that many have called “brilliant beyond her years”. Carasan’s lead design team is rounded off by Cassandra’s mother, Terri Rosenthal. This mother-daughter duo continue a long, impressive family legacy of fashion designers.
