With spring just around the corner comes the beginning of some pretty goofy tan lines. As the weather warms up outdoor sporting events like golf, tennis, and the like are the favorite outdoor activities for women and men alike. Unfortunately, participation in these sports often result in various tan lines – one’s that aren’t always conducive to swimwear or other spring and summer clothing. Until now there hasn’t been a great solution to blending in these not so attractive tan lines. MOON Tans, Inc. has just introduced Sport Tan that can rid athletes of these unsightly tan lines.

MOON Tans, Inc. a Colorado Corporation, with more than 200 salons nationwide that offer airbrush tanning, has just introduced Sport Tan. Sport tan is the same professional airbrush tanning formula available in professional salons in an aerosol can. “We had received an amazing amount of inquires and requests from men wanting to fill in sock, shirt and short tan lines for their upcoming vacation or special event” states Linda Dillon, President and Founder of MOON Tans, Inc. “We immediately started working on a “sport” version for athletes that haven’t previously had a good solution to filling in golf tan lines from socks, short sleeve shirts and shorts.

What makes Sport Tan so unique? “Because it is an aerosol, the results are very similar to an airbrush tan application which until now has only been available in professional salons” says Dillon. This ozone friendly aerosol creates a natural, streak-free tan because it doesn’t require any rubbing in as do many of the other spray or cream self-tanning counterparts. “My husband tried several of my self-tanning creams on his golfing tan lines and he hated them because they always had an orange color to them” says Jill Ross. “He is an avid golfer, and when I heard of Sport Tan, I bought him a can and he couldn’t believe how well it filled in and blended his tan lines.” Bill Ross is an avid golfer and has been using Sport Tan frequently. “I have to admit, says Bill, I was very skeptical whether I was going to turn orange and most of those tanners my wife uses stink. I honestly was amazed – it didn’t stink and it blended well with my natural tan! I used it to fill in my arms and feet from my golf tan lines and my goofy tan lines all but instantly disappeared.”

”Sport Tan is perfect for anyone wanting to tan in the privacy of their own home or just want to touch up and blend in their tan lines from outdoor sports. Sport Tan also provides a great full body tan” adds Dillon. “Although airbrush tanning in salons has gained incredible popularity, many feel more comfortable having a application that is portable that they can use in the privacy of their own home or while away on vacation. We also have many clients that aren’t close to a salon or those who have a schedule that doesn’t permit them to visit a salon prior to a special event. Additionally,” says Dillon, “Sport Tan is easy to apply and dries quickly”. Sport Tan comes in a seven ounce can which will cover an average size person about two or three times. Dillon says each tan will last between five and seven days and once applied takes about six to eight hours to develop. Sport Tan contains DHA, which is the active ingredient that tans your skin. DHA has been approved by the FDA for over 30 years and is found in airbrush tanning solutions and self-tanning creams and sprays on the market. Dillon says, “it and takes about two or three minutes to dry, you just spray it on, let it dry and in 6-8 hours your tan lines are nicely blended. Sport Tan sells for $29.99 and is available at participating MOON Tans salons as well as on online at
