Plans are underway for Kentucky Crafted: The Market. Since 1982, this event has served the state as KentuckyÂs hand-made products market. Shane Best of Kentucky BourbonQ will be exhibiting his internationally-renowned, award-winning line of barbecue sauces and spices in South Wing A of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, March 5-6, 2005. Best, a longtime resident of Oldham County, has owned and operated Kentucky BourbonQ since 1984, and is participating in this exciting Market for the fourth time.
The Market will feature 300 Kentucky exhibitors of contemporary and traditional crafts, two-dimensional visual art, musical recordings, and food products, along with childrenÂs craft activities and cultural entertainment.
Market hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8.00 for adults, with children aged 15 and under getting in free. For a $1.00 Off Coupon on adult admission, visit the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program website at http://www.kycraft.ky.gov. If you are a retailer, please call for special Âtrade only dates and times.
Kentucky Crafted: The Market has been selected as one of the ÂTop 25 Art Fairs and Festivals in the country by AmericanStyle Magazine, and was selected as one of the ÂTop Twenty Events in the southeast region by the Southeast Tourism Society. Kentucky still holds the distinction of being one of the few states in the country to sponsor a wholesale/retail show for its craft businesses.
According to Best, ÂThe Market continues to be an exciting venue for selling to both retailers and the public. I am thrilled to be able to participate in this great marketplace for Kentucky-made products. Be sure to stop by the BourbonQ booth and sample some of our tasty barbecue sauces and spices.Â
The Market is produced by the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program, a division of the Kentucky Arts Council, Commerce Cabinet, Commonwealth of Kentucky.
