PC Guardian Technologies Inc. has created the position of chief security officer and appointed Seth Ross, a published expert in computer security and cryptographic systems, to the position to oversee the certification of the company's disk and email encryption products.

Ross managed the successful validation testing of PC Guardians Encryption Plus Hard Disk 7.0 to Common Criteria EAL1. He is directing current testing of Encryption Plus Hard Disk 7.1.0 to Common Criteria EAL4, and he is completing the validation testing of the companys Encryption Plus Cryptographic Library to the US Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS 140-2).
