2ndSite Inc. Releases Version 2.6 of its Web Invoicing Service

2ndSite Inc. (www.web-invoicing.com) yesterday released version 2.6 of its web invoicing service. Version 2.6 of 2ndSites web invoicing service includes a new pricing structure and enhanced reporting capabilities. The new version is 2ndSite's fifth release since May 2004.

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) February 2, 2005 -- 2ndSite Inc. (www.web-invoicing.com) yesterday officially released version 2.6 of its web invoicing service. The new version is 2ndSite's fifth release since May 2004.

Web invoicing services like 2ndSite work differently than bill consolidation services like those offered by banks. Instead, services like 2ndSite facilitate a popular trend in web invoicing known as biller direct", whereby customers visit their suppliers websites - not a third-party website - to securely process payments. According to Celent Communications (www.celent.com), growth in biller direct" invoice processing is expected to grow more slowly (28% CAGR through 2007) than bill consolidation (34% CAGR through 2007), but is expected to serve, and is already serving, a larger market.

Years ago it was predicted that web invoicing would take the market by storm, but businesses and consumers have been slow to conduct their business over the web. Over the past four years that has gradually begun to change and web invoicing is finally achieving mainstream acceptance as evidenced by the record number of eCommerce transactions conducted this past holiday season.

Part of the slow adoption can be attributed to the high per transaction costs required to process bills with credit cards over the web. Now lower cost alternatives like ACH eChecks are emerging which are very appealing. 2ndSite has secured a partnership with ACH eCheck processor Electracash that allows 2ndSite users to conduct web invoicing transactions at a savings of 75% when compared with most credit card processors.

Version 2.6 of 2ndSites web invoicing service includes a new pricing structure and enhanced reporting capabilities. It also includes a streamlined option for those users who only wish to bill their clients using 2ndSite, as well as certification as an Authorize.net certified shopping cart and integration with the 2Checkout payment gateway.
