San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 7, 2005 -- When traveling, whether for one week or one year, travelers are constantly meeting people and making friends. Back home, InsideOut Travel Magazine gives budget travelers a reason to do the same: Travelers Happy Hours.
"We try to find new bars and galleries for our Travelers Happy Hours because as travelers, we're always interested in discovering new places, even in our hometown," says InsideOut Travel Magazine's editor, Helene Goupil.
She adds, "We took a break during the holidays but readers are writing us now and asking when the next Travelers Happy Hour is going to be, so we're excited about hosting another event soon."
The next Travelers Happy Hour will take place on Feb. 24 at Rx Gallery, an electronic media gallery, in San Francisco. The party starts at 6 p.m. and will include a slide show of the best entries received for the magazines "Faces of the World" travel photo contest.
"There are many budget travelers that live or come through San Francisco so we found this city to be a great place to start our Travelers Happy Hours. We'd like to host happy hours in other cities in the future," said Josh Krist, InsideOut Travel Magazine's publisher.
InsideOut Travel Magazine hosted their first photo contest last summer and it was so popular, they've decided to do a second one.
"People showed a lot of interest in the photos, it was great because it became a real photo community event" said photo editor Alex Robinson.
InsideOut Travel Magazines latest issue includes articles on travel insurance, travel snobbery and an interview with the author of "Molvania" as well as stories about Morocco, China and Colombia.
Rx Gallery is located at 132 Eddy St. in San Francisco.

Mark your calendars because this October Arsenal Pulp Press is publishing the guidebook that exposes the fun, kinky, scandalous, tragic, and just plain weird sides of San Francisco.
To write "San Francisco: The Unknown City," the founders of InsideOut Travel Magazine, Josh Krist and Helene Goupil, are sticking their noses into everybody's business to sniff out the unknown stories of the city where many have left their heart, and clothing, behind. We'll try to stay out of sniffing-dog mode at the Travelers Happy Hour though, so come on by-we won't bite, unless you really want us to.
