zConnect to Benefit Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity
zConnect today announced that the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity will be participating in its AdvantageConnect program to raise funds to build homes in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. Under the program, the company will pay a quarterly contribution to the organization for all customers who have indicated that their account should benefit the Lutheran Coalition.
(PRWEB) February 4, 2005 -- The Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity is a group of several Lutheran churches in the metropolitan Atlanta area which have banded together to eliminate sub standard housing in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. The organization is committed to building one Habitat for Humanity house per year, and is excited that the AdvantageConnect program will provide additional funding to help realize its mission without requiring participants to make additional contributions. The Lutheran Coalition will begin promoting the program in January through its various participating churches.
The program was conceived as a "win-win-win" proposition by Eric Longman and Bud Ducey, zConnect's owners. "We wanted to be able to build our business, save customers some money each month on their Internet services, and at the same time make a difference to the organizations that depend on their members for funding," said Eric Longman, zConnect's President. "AdvantageConnect meets all three criteria. Customers who choose to participate in the program can select an organization that will benefit, and zConnect will make a contribution to the organization on a quarterly basis of up to 15% of the revenue derived from the customer. Customers benefit their chosen organization, and they save money, too, because our monthly rates are about half those of AOL, Earthlink and MSN."
According to Bud Ducey, zConnect's Chief Executive Officer, "zConnect has the strength of a nationwide footprint, and can bring that strength to bear in fundraising efforts. The program is structured so that any interested party, anywhere, can help support a participating organization."

About The Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity
The Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity is a group of concerned Lutherans in the Atlanta, Georgia Metropolitan area who have agreed to partner with Local Habitat for Humanity Affiliates to eliminate sub standard housing. The prime direction for this group comes from the Scripture, the Coalition specifically cites and adopts Saint James' Chapter 2 direction: 14 "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you have faith but do not have works? ... 18 and I, by my works, will show you my faith". This most basic Christian principle has been embraced by the coalition and put into action through the Habitat for Humanity Partnership.
