Employees punch in or out by simply entering a PIN and placing their hand on the verifying pad. To alleviate privacy concerns, the system does not use fingerprints or palm prints. The terminal captures a three-dimensional image of the hand each time the employee punches. If the geometry of the hand does not verify, no punch is registered. The process is quick and easy: an employees hand is verified in less than one second and a green or red light indicates the punch status.
