Stockingirl Couture Leg Wear Shows Their Trendsetting Ways for the Fall 05 Fashion Season

StockinGirl struts their way onto the fashion scene this year and announces their stylistic approach this fashion season by revealing a multitude of exciting new directions and changes.

(PRWEB) February 6, 2005 -- Leg wear is walking onto the scene everywhere: beneath boho skirts, stuffed in furry boots, peaking out of snake-skin stilettos, or paired with woolen legwarmers. Since there is undoubtedly a burgeoning demand for hosiery in a number of creative style directions, Stockingirl plans to inundate the market with a flurry of fashionable designs for the 2005-2006 season.

Because of Stockingirls close relationship with top stylists and designers, the company will be introducing a number of authentic designer prints and patterns that will be featured on the runways for Heatherette, Baby Phat, Nicole Romano, Tamsen, Moschino, and Just Cavalli. Hosiery is not just looked at as a fantasy item or accessory any longer. Young girls and women are learning to see fashion leg wear not only as a highly wearable item, but an additional must-have apparel item to wear with their skirts, heels, and boots," says Edward Miccinati, design director for the line.

The six-year old NYC-based leg wear company will be emphasizing styles that have been missing from the market for a long time: authentic vintage laces, pointelles, leggings, luxurious textured and cabled wool-blend tights, and sophisticated new variations on fishnet, just to name a few.    

Prints & Colors
This season Stockingirl will come on strong by continuing its popular printed leg wear collections. We have only begun to show our creativity when it comes to the print market," remarks Miccinati. Stockingirl will carry over traditional styles, such as the well-received zebra, cheetah and tiger prints, but will be exploring updated re-colored animal print looks in varying patterns for 2005.

Snake and reptilian prints have shown to be a popular fashion statement this season on and off the runways. Stockingirl had been the leader in presenting this look in leg wear since Fall 2005 after having released a number of rattlesnake, diamondback, anaconda, and dragon prints in a myriad of styles and colors. Our reptile prints will be an integral interest this season. Were offering them in opaque tights, opaque leggings, sheer-to-waist pantyhose, sheer thigh highs, and on fishnet," Miccinati continued, The reptile printed fishnet has been surprisingly successful."

Regal baroque and floral patterns will also continue to be signature Stockingirl leg wear styles, venturing into both bright and subtlety soft color palettes. Patterning this upcoming season will in general be more feminine, more vivid, more intense, and more creative when it comes to overlaying and juxtaposing disparate motifs: Paisley will be embossed over delicate floral and dotted and striped with stunning color mixes, chic phrases will be imprinted on a collage of cultural symbols and colorful swatches. The embracing of rich colors, ethnic-inspired prints, ornate design and vivid washes will be the newest stylistic approach this upcoming season.

Stockingirl continually proves that any color is the new black when in comes to leg wear. Though the companys color palette is already extensive, offering 26 colors in key styles, there will be a number of new colors making their way into their hosiery line, including: plum, sea foam, clover, and differing shades of turquoise.

Stockingirl Socks
StockinGirl is now venturing into the sock market. This is relatively uncharted territory for our company," Miccinati states, but there has been some interest and demand on our end so weve decided to test that route." The company is now featuring their famous prints on trouser and ankle socks, both sheer and opaque. They will also be featuring rich, luxurious socks in alpaca and angora blends.

Plus Size Division
The company will also continue to expand their plus size and maternity division to include Lycra 3D pantyhose, in 15, 20, and 40 denier in sizes up to 4X. Stockingirl believes that the plus size customer should have the prettiest styles and therefore makes all of their beautiful stockings, thigh highs and printed hosiery in these sizes.

New Hires
To help with their growing market interest, StockinGirl has expanded sales representation within the United States. El Dever, Principle of El Dever Associates who currently handles major accounts and new businesses for Stockingirl, has added the responsibility for managing key territories. Serena Swanke from Chicago has also joined the Stockingirl Team after having been appointed Sales Representative for the Midwest and Texas.
