UK Homeowners Can Save Money, Save Energy and Help Save the Planet

Launch of new energy saving initiative with 3 major UK power suppliers.

(PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- A new and unique network initiative has been launched to help homeowners throughout the UK lower their rising fuel bills whilst also helping the Government to meet its emission targets in the fight against global warming. Scottish company GTi Ltd. have established the total home efficiency franchise network to work with Scottishpower, Powergen and EDF Energy. The network provides low cost or in some cases free cavity wall and loft insulation -- subsidised by the utility - and a range of additional energy efficiency products, such as low energy lighting from Philips, a major sponsor of the network, together with a free home survey service.

GTi Ltd. are to be sole sponsor for the 2005 NEA (National Energy Action) Conference to be held at York University.

19 network areas are currently active with a further 78 to become operational over the next three months. To date over 9000 homeowners have taken advantage of the services on offer. The costs of both gas and electricity are continuing to rise and coupled with the all too obvious effects of global warming the time is now here for homeowners to install measures to combat these threats.

Subsidies from our network of utility companies under the Governments Energy Efficiency Commitment are available for up to 100% of the cost of instalation -- this is worth over 600 in some cases. In addition all work is backed up by a 25 year guarantee. So homeowners save money, add to the value of their homes and protect the environment all for a minimal outlay.

Our network will also integrate with other Government schemes to identify opportunities for subsidised or even free central heating as well as draughtproofing and loft insulation. This is all at no cost to the customer.

"For the past 11 years GTi Ltd. has been a major supplier to the insulation market in the UK. Our new initiative t.h.e, allows us to work with the leading power supply companies to offer a high quality and essential product range directly into more than 10 million homes. By installing cavity wall insulation homeowners will save substantial amounts of money but will also invest in all of our futures by helping to combat global warming. It just makes so much sense and our network makes it simple to do" said Gordon Thomson, Managing Director of GTi Ltd.

Thomson continued, "Our initiative has been recognised within the industry as a positive development and the level of investment we are making backs up our belief that UK homeowners understand the message we are giving and the benefits of taking action now."
