Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- Reflections: The Life and Career of Charles H. Pabst, a stunning 128-page hardback coffee table book, has already been recognized for its excellence and beauty, even before release to the public. In a juried competition held by the Print Industries Association, Pabsts book was awarded first place with the Gold Certificate of Excellence.
Reflections, the first authorized book publication on Charles H. Pabst, tells the story of the artist -- his life and his art. The 77 full color plates included in the book were chosen from Pabsts 40 years of work to reflect his diversity of subject and style, as well as his love for nature and the land. Through his inspiring and brilliant paintings, youll journey with Pabst from the California coast of his youth, through the Great American West and across the magnificent European countryside, as well as view the diversity of his still lifes, florals and contemporary abstracts.
For several years Ive yearned to publish a masterful book that allows people to experience and enjoy many of my works in one place," commented Pabst, It was a long process and an immense learning experience to bring this book to fruition, but one I believe was well worth it."
A graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Fine Arts, Charles H. Pabst began painting full time in 1978. His first sellout show of 30 paintings was with the El Presidio Gallery of Tucson in 1982. Since then he has sold out all of his shows throughout the country. Pabst has received numerous awards, including the Hallmark Award, the Bank of America Fine Arts Award, Best of Show - Gold Canyon Ranch and many others.
A resident of Mesa, Arizona, Pabst has traveled the southwest with his family to explore, photograph and paint the diverse panorama of the American West. With a desire to be an artist who paints the world, Pabst made several trips to Italy, the first when he was just 16 years old. His most recent trip inspired numerous paintings also included in Reflections.
